Abortion
All human beings deserve to live free from violence, and this includes prenatal children. Elective abortion is a grievous human rights violation and I will work to decrease the demand by supporting parents, children, and communities and to decrease the supply by outlawing and defunding abortion.
Healthcare equity
We must end structural barriers to healthcare access. All people have a right to be healthy, and to have access to medical care when and how it is needed.
Economic justice
Everyone should have the opportunity to succeed. We must address inequalities in our economic systems in order to ensure equal access to income, credit, employment, and opportunity regardless of a person's identity.
Racial justice
We must work for change in our economic, political, cultural, and social lives to not just reject but actively oppose racism. We need to examine and dismantle our society's systems and power structures that reinforce racial hierarchies.
Criminal justice reform
The United States disproportionately incarcerates our citizens, and incarcerated Americans are disproportionately people of color, from lower socioeconomic statuses, and from other marginalized communities. We need to move to a restorative justice model, which includes abolishing the death penalty, eradicating the greatest contributing factors to wrongful convictions, and improving prison conditions to uphold the humanity and dignity of all people, including people incarcerated.
Environmental justice
We must protect and safeguard our environment for future generations but also for ourselves, here and now. True environmental justice involves meaningful input from input from people of all backgrounds in the formation of environmental regulations that most impact our communities. We will work together to create and sustain clean, safe, protected communities.
